We give adults the choice to remain active and independent regardless of their circumstances.

Carefor is Eastern Ontario’s largest charitable health, homecare, and community services organization, offering high-quality holistic care and support in the region. With the dedication of compassionate healthcare professionals, staff, and partners, Carefor has been enriching lives since 1897.

We make giving easy

Your gift will be used to help up to 20,000 people in Eastern Ontario each year get the support they need.

Ways to Give
  • Donate a Car

    If you have a vehicle you would like to get rid of, you can have it picked up by Donate a Car. The value of your car can then be donated to Carefor, and you will receive a tax receipt on that amount. For more information click here.

  • Corporate Giving

    When you partner with Carefor, you are aligning your organization with a leading not-for-profit health and community services organization that is committed to enriching the lives of thousands of people in your community by offering them choice in how they want to live their lives.

  • Workplace Giving

    A great way to help vulnerable seniors in your community and build a sense of ‘team giving’ in your workplace is through a giving campaign. Staff at your workplace can donate part of their pay cheque or create fundraising events or campaigns to raise funds for Carefor’s programs and services. Money raised will go to programs which help vulnerable seniors and people with disabilities through challenging times and giving the choice in how to live their lives.

    You can make an ongoing impact in the lives of the people we serve.  Monthly giving is a tremendous way to ensure your gift works harder. It’s the most effective way to provide steady, on-going funds to help people in your community through Carefor Health & Community Services. Not only is a monthly debit amount a more manageable way to give a generous gift—it saves envelopes and postage too.
