Volunteer Eastern Ontario

We are actively seeking individuals interested in donating their time and talents to join our team.

As a volunteer with Carefor, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of like-minded individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others. Carefor has a variety of opportunities available at each of our main offices in Pembroke, Ottawa, and Eastern Counties to support our community services, retirement home and home care staff.

Why Volunteer with Carefor

“As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands — one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.” – Audrey Hepburn

By volunteering with us, you’ll have the change to help improve the lives of people in need in your community. We’re sure you will get more back than you ever give.

We welcome people of all backgrounds and levels of experience. No matter your interests or availability, we will find a role that is perfect for you.

Volunteer Opportunities
  • Volunteer at Hospice

Volunteers are an integral and valued part of our team at Carefor Hospice Cornwall.

We offer specialized training in all areas. All volunteers are required to have a valid police check on file to work within our organization. They also must take part in a Palliative Care Course, given by a registered health care professional. This course covers all aspects of end-of-life care and how it pertains to volunteering at Hospice.

If you would like to learn more about volunteering, please contact our Volunteer & Community Supervisor, Kristan Poirier, at 613-938-2763 ext. 4140. You may also visit Hospice Cornwall at 1507 Second Street West in Cornwall to receive a copy of the Volunteer Application Form.
