For Lorraine Sharron (left) and her family, Hospice Cornwall is a special place. After the exceptional care her husband Larry received in his final days, Larry and Lorraine wanted to give back to the Hospice.

One meaningful way they chose to honour Larry was through Carefor Hospice’s Memory & Donor Wall.

Lorraine takes great pride in Larry’s legacy. With family members spread across the country, visits to Hospice often include a stop at Larry’s plaque. It serves as a lasting reminder of him as well as the compassionate care he received.

“We often drive by the Carefor Hospice travelling between Long Sault and Cornwall, with a wide range of emotions from deep heartbreak to profound appreciation. Our Larry spent his final moments there last summer, within the arms and care of a team whom we reflect on regularly. The team at the Hospice held a vital role in Larry’s final days with grace, professionalism and allowed those closest to him a comforting place to reflect and gather to celebrate his life. The Sharron family are proud to be supporters of the Hospice and will always hold the staff there in the highest regard.”

Larry’s plaque will remain on the Memory & Donor Wall for years to come, ensuring his name and generosity continue to be part of the Hospice story.
