Under the supervision on the Residential Program Manager, the Recreation Programs Coordinator plans and implements daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal program activities and events that are cost effective, interesting, interactive and client-centred, taking into consideration each of the resident’s interests, capabilities and needs. The Recreation Programs Coordinator assists and support residents in attending activities and to encourage them to actively participate. He/She provides orientation and supervision to all volunteers working in the program.
The Recreation Programs Coordinator also supports and assists the Community Support Services Manager with programs such as frozen meals and public education events.
