Carefor Incentive Partnerships for PSWs
Carefor is pleased to participate in numerous government incentive programs offering grants to new Personal Support Workers as they begin and develop their careers.
Return of Service (ROS) for PSWs
Provides $10,000.00 to recent PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment
To be eligible, a PSW must:
- Have completed an Ontario PSW training program at a public-assisted college, private career college, district school board or Indigenous Institute that meets the standard established by OMCU
- Begin employment with a participating employer between April 1, 2023and March 31, 2026
- Commit to 12 months of employment at a full-time work schedule offered by a participating employer
Clinical Placement Stipend for PSWs
Participating Employers must offer clinical placements to students as part of an Ontario PSW training program at a public-assisted college, private career college, district school board or Indigenous Institute
To be eligible, a PSW must:
- Begin a clinical placement as part of an Ontario PSW training program that meets the 2022 program standard with a participating LTC home, or home and community care agency
- Begin eligible clinical placement on or after April1,2023
Rural, Remote, and Northern Relocation Support for PSWs
Participating Employers must offer clinical placements to students as part of an Ontario PSW training program at a public-assisted college, private career college, district school board or Indigenous Institut
To be eligible, a PSW must:
- Begin a clinical placement as part of an Ontario PSW training program that meets the 2022 program standard with a participating LTC home, or home and community care agency
- Begin eligible clinical placement on or after April 1, 2023
- Begin Employment with between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2026
- Commit to 12 months full-time employment
