Carefor Incentive Partnerships for Nurses

Carefor is pleased to participate in numerous government incentive programs offering grants to new nurses  as they begin and develop their careers.

Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) – April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025

Provides $25,000.00 in grant funding to eligible nurses in exchange for a two-year commitment to an eligible employer

To be eligible, a nurse must:

  • Not have been employed as a nurse in Ontario in the six months of being hired
  • Hold a Certificate of Registration in good standing from the CNO
  • Begin employment between April 1, 2024,and March 31, 2025
  • Commit to two years of full-time employment
  • Not simultaneously receive funds from the Ministry of Health for the Tuition Support Program for Nurses
  • Not be hired through the Nursing Graduate Guarantee Program

Nursing Graduate Guarantee Program (NGG) – April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025

  • Provides a total of 20 weeks of funding to employers per new nurse participating
  • 12 weeks for the new nurse’s transition into practice period where the new nurse is working full-time
  • 8 weeks for the reinvestment fund to support existing frontline nurses and their professional development

To be eligible, a nurse must:

  • Have not been employed as a nurse in Ontario in the six months prior to participating in then GG
  • Match with an employer on the NGG online portal within 12 months of registering with CNO
  • Are legally eligible to work full-time hours
  • Commit to accepting full-time employment with their NGG employer after completing the NGG program transition into practice period
