The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)- Wellness & Foot Care is responsible for the provision of wellness support and management of cost-effective foot care services in Community Centers located in Lancaster, Alexandria, Finch, Ingleside and Winchester or the client’s home. Care is provided within the framework of quality & risk management and the standards and scope of practice set by Carefor and the provincial regulatory body (Ontario College of Nurses). The RPN will utilize a General and Diabetic Foot Assessment Tool which follows the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario Best Practice Guideline.

As the RPN at the Richmond Care Home you will function as the leader of the resident care team. Utilizing your professional knowledge to assess clients, create care plans, administer medication and monitor/evaluate the well being of the clients. In the absence of the supervisor, you are in charge to ensure the residence comfort and well-being and that policies and procedures are being followed.
