Carefor Show & Shine - Volunteer Form

This event is a great family-friendly event for the community and the residents at Carefor Civic and Mackay. It is free to attend, and local car enthusiasts bring their vehicles to show them off, answer questions about it and may even let people photograph their vehicles. We will also have the BBQ running and serving up hot dogs. The BBQ is by donation.

The event will be open to the public from 11 am – 1 pm.

Loading in of cars and setting up takes several hours so parking lot volunteers will be required by 9 am.

Below are the volunteer roles available for event day.

Parking Lot Crew (6 Volunteers)

Help welcome car owners and ensure vehicles are positioned safely and smoothly.

• Direct drivers to their assigned parking zones • Assist with spacing and placement of vehicles • Set up cones, signage, and barriers • Support safe traffic flow throughout the event • Provide friendly guidance to participants

Registration Team (4 Volunteers)

Be the first friendly face participants meet as they check in.

• Greet car owners at the registration table • Confirm pre‑registered participants and collect missing details • Register day‑of participants • Distribute event materials and direct participants to parking • Maintain an organized list of all registered vehicles

Food & Beverage Support (4 Volunteers)

Help keep guests and participants fueled throughout the day.

• Set up food and beverage stations • Serve drinks, snacks, or meals • Restock supplies and maintain a clean serving area • Offer warm, friendly service • Assist with cleanup and teardown

Runner Support (2 Volunteers)

Provide flexible, on‑the‑go support wherever it’s needed most.

• Deliver supplies between event areas • Assist with quick tasks and equipment needs • Respond to real‑time requests from the event coordinator • Help troubleshoot small issues • Support setup and teardown as needed
