{"id":5738,"date":"2023-06-29T12:36:37","date_gmt":"2023-06-29T16:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carefor.ca\/stories\/carefor-civic-residential-complex-residents-give-staff-special-surprise-for-their-work-during-the-pandemic\/"},"modified":"2023-11-20T00:06:43","modified_gmt":"2023-11-20T05:06:43","slug":"les-residents-et-residentes-du-complexe-communautaire-de-carefor-preparent-une-surprise-speciale-pour-souligner-le-travail-du-personnel-pendant-la-pandemie","status":"publish","type":"story","link":"https:\/\/carefor.ca\/fr\/stories\/les-residents-et-residentes-du-complexe-communautaire-de-carefor-preparent-une-surprise-speciale-pour-souligner-le-travail-du-personnel-pendant-la-pandemie\/","title":{"rendered":"Les r\u00e9sidents et r\u00e9sidentes du Complexe communautaire de Carefor pr\u00e9parent une surprise sp\u00e9ciale pour souligner le travail du personnel pendant la pand\u00e9mie."},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Carefor Civic Residential Complex residents give staff members a special surprise for their work during the pandemic<\/h1>\n<p>Making a tremendous impact on people\u2019s lives is something Carefor staff do each and every day, but oftentimes they don\u2019t realize just how far their kindness goes in impacting the people around them.<\/p>\n<p>Residents at <a title=\"Carefor | civic complex\" href=\"https:\/\/carefor.ca\/services\/?comaction=view&amp;cid=5&amp;id=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"\"><strong>Carefor Pembroke Civic Residential Complex<\/strong><\/span><\/a> gave staff members, from health care professionals to administration personnel, a big surprise.<\/p>\n<p>As lockdown restrictions have eased in the province, longtime resident Todd Sullivan and others wanted to do something special to applaud the bravery and dedication of Carefor staff during the pandemic, and for their continued support as things slowly re-adjust.&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right; margin: 10px;\" src=\"https:\/\/carefor.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/5f19ac4c451d4-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\u201cTo all the workers who took care of the residents at the Carefor Civic Complex during COVID-19, thank you.\u201d\" width=\"419\" height=\"314\"><\/p>\n<p>In an effort to highlight their efforts, residents presented an appreciation plaque to staff for the great care they received during COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Though changes have been challenging for residents, with an inability to participate in their regular activities, Todd who spearheaded the honour, shared that staff were very understanding and supportive throughout.&nbsp; In addition, many residents recognized staff for going <a title=\"Carefor | Mike Wise story\" href=\"https:\/\/carefor.ca\/stories\/?comaction=story&amp;id=2&amp;sid=57\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"\"><strong>above and beyond<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in finding ways to engage them during this difficult time.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Thank you so much to all staff for everything you have done to keep us safe. It was greatly appreciated by myself and all residents of Carefor Civic Complex.
