When she lived alone in an apartment, she described the experience as depressing and lonely.<\/h5>\n<p>\u201cI was really starting to get depressed. I needed to talk to people,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Now after nearly three years at <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 15px;\" title=\"Carefor | civic complex\" href=\"https:\/\/carefor.ca\/services\/?comaction=view&amp;cid=5&amp;id=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration-line: underline;\"><strong>Carefor Pembroke Residential Complex<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">, she hasn\u2019t looked back: \u201cI really like it here.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s her roommate, residents in the hallways, entertainment rooms, communal eating area, or the staff, Linda always has someone to talk to: \u201cThat makes me cheerful,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>Theresa Denault, Linda\u2019s roommate, has been at Civic Complex for a couple years, and also considers staff and residents as her extended family. \u201cThere\u2019s freedom here; It\u2019s just like home to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Linda and Theresa\u2019s friendship is special in its own way, it\u2019s not uncommon.
