The RPN will assume a leadership role by teaching, delegating, and providing guidance to different levels of workers within the care team. class=\"accordion-title\">What You Will Do:<\/a>\n                        <div class=\"accordion-content\" data-tab-content>\n                            <ul>\n<li>Provides complete, relevant assessment of the resident and describes and\/or documents finding according to documentation procedures.<\/li>\n<li>In collaboration with the Manager or designate, prepares and updates the resident profile and care plan<\/li>\n<li>Effectively and safely administers medication according to Carefor procedures and CNO standards of practice<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure residents receive quality care<\/li>\n<li>Identifies problems using a specified framework and in consultation with the Manager or designate and resident, selects and implements individualized strategies or interventions in order to focus care on resolving or managing the problem<\/li>\n<li>Describes, evaluates and documents resident\u2019s responses to care<\/li>\n<li>Describes rationale for referrals and changes in Service Plan<\/li>\n<li>Provides cost-effective, organized, outcome directed care on an ongoing basis<\/li>\n<li>Identifies and utilizes tools and resources for work and manages these resources through regular monitoring of equipment etc. and reporting unusable equipment to supervisor or designate.<\/li>\n<li>Delegates care appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Meets with resident and family to orient them to the residence.<\/li>\n<li>Seeks input from residents to assure that service meets expectations<\/li>\n<li>Plans, implements, evaluates and adjusts care in accordance with customer focused expectations<\/li>\n<li>Functions in accordance with the standards of nursing practice from the College of Nurses of Ontario<\/li>\n<li>Functions in accordance with the Carefor policies and procedures and the strategic direction of Carefor Pembroke-Renfrew County<\/li>\n<li>Functions and reports in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and Carefor policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Reports the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which he\/she is aware and which may endanger him\/herself or another worker<\/li>\n<li>Reports any violations of the Health and Safety Act or the regulations, or the existence of any hazard<\/li>\n<li>Ensures all workplace incidents are reported in a timely manner in accordance with legislation, and Carefor policies and procedures for workplace injuries and incidents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n college<\/li>\n<li>Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario<\/li>\n<li>Certificate in gerontology would be an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Current CPR and First Aid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a long term care or retirement facility an asset<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with people who have dementia, Alzheimer\u2019s Disease, and mental health
