Less Than A Month Until The Grand Parade: Your August Update

With the Carefor Grand Parade around the corner, we are immensely excited to come together with our Carefor community for this event. With the last few years of being apart, we are eager to get back to in person fundraising events. Join us to raise money and awareness for seniors support and resources. The Grand Parade will take place on September 16th at 10am in the heritage site of Strathcona Park, which is located on the west bank of the Rideau River, bordering the neighborhood of Sandy Hill.

At this time, Carefor has raised 51% of our fundraising goal. Additionally, 48 walkers have signed up and as of right now we have 15 teams. Currently, the teams who have raise the most money are “Team Unicorn” with $2,895.00, “People & Culture Champions” with $1500.00, the “Mackenzie Marchers” with $1,375.00 and “The IT Crowd” with $1,185.00. On the national scoreboard, the Carefor Grand Parade is placed 10th of 31 locations. If you do not have a team to join, you can join one of our Carefor teams. If you have yet to sign up, we encourage you to sign up as a team captain, join a team as a walker, volunteer or as a sponsor.

Fundraising for The Grand Parade is simple, all you need to do is register, and then reach out to friends, family, co-workers, and others in the community to either pledge or sponsor you, or to join your team and reach out to their networks for additional donations. Additionally, the next 13 individuals to reach $500.00 will receive a free Grand Parade Hoodie; what more incentive could you need!
