SUMMARY:Help us Care for Seniors with Melanie
DESCRIPTION:Melanie is Walking for her Friends \nMelanie Freeman has a big heart. \nShe also likes to walk. And she loves living at Carefor Civic Complex. She’s brought these three things together for a new campaign: Care for Seniors with Melanie. \nBetween now and the end of 2025\, Melanie will be walking to raise money to support her friends living at Civic Complex and Mackay Centre retirement homes in Pembroke. The money she raises will be used for Carefor to purchase such things as pet therapy\, swimming\, a keyboard\, art supplies\, performer fees\, transportation to medical appointments\, painting parties and much more. \nHelp us keep costs low \nAs not-for-profit retirement homes\, Carefor Civic and Mackay do everything they can to keep the cost of accommodation low so that seniors on fixed incomes have a place they can afford. As a charity\, Carefor is grateful to have the support of the community to cover the cost of things like recreation programming and events\, which give our seniors the retirement they deserve. With your help we can keep our homes affordable for local seniors! \nKnowing what Carefor retirement homes have meant to her friends\, Melanie is taking it upon herself to hit the pavement to raise money to make the Holiday season brighter for them. \nTo help Melanie reach her target of $12\,000\, donate to www.carefor.ca/donate-pembroke \nThank you for helping Melanie reach her goal! \n \nRead Melanie’s story of overcoming hardship

SUMMARY:March for Meals - Pembroke-Renfrew County
DESCRIPTION:It’s time to March for Meals ! \nFood insecurity and isolation are two major problems facing seniors in our community. With the cost of food and transportation\, more and more seniors are finding it harder to age at home. Can you help them? \nYour donation will help provide isolated and vulnerable seniors across Pembroke-Renfrew County access to a nutritious meal delivered to their door. But Meal Delivery is more than just ensuring nutrition; it’s also about making sure someone is doing okay. \nYour donation helps change this. You’ll be helping put a meal on a table and smile on a face. \nA $20 donation\, means three meals and three visits. A $100 donation means fifteen times\, the gift of nutrition and friendship is coming into someone’s life thanks to you. \nOur seniors have looked after us their whole lives. It’s time for us to look after them. \nPlease give today.

SUMMARY:No Show Gala 2024
DESCRIPTION:As 2024 draws to a close\, it’s time for a special tradition: our No Show Gala. This annual event invites you to support Carefor without dressing up\, stepping out\, or worrying about a single thing. We just ask that you join us in spirit from the comfort of your own home. \nAt Hospice\, the proceeds from your ticket will be directly used to purchase new equipment. At the time we are upgrading to new beds and will also acquire a few cuddle beds. Cuddle beds give patients and their loved ones the chance to be close while in hospice. Maintaining physical contact\, being touched and experiencing intimacy with family and loved ones can provide relief in the last moments\, while keeping the patient comfortable without interfering with medical equipment. \nThe best part? Every dollar you give goes straight to Carefor’s programs and services—no decorations\, no catering\, just meaningful impact. As someone who values our work\, you know firsthand (or perhaps simply understand) the difference compassionate care can make. \nYour support is an investment in ensuring that seniors receive the best care possible. As we enter the holiday season\, I hope you feel the warmth of family traditions\, cherished moments\, and holiday cheer.\nWishing you and your loved ones a safe and joyful season. Thank you for your kindness and your commitment to our community. Your generosity touches lives\, and we are so grateful for all that you do. \nGet your “ticket” to the gala here\, and you decide its value. \nWarmest wishes\, \n \nSteve Perry\nPresident & CEO
