Job Summary:

THE OPPORTUNITY – Quality and Performance Analyst

Carefor Health & Community Services is in search of a Quality and Performance Analyst.

The organization continues to grow and transform and building on our current quality, monitoring and reporting practices, which include quality improvement initiatives, and managing our operational planning processes.

The Quality & Performance Analyst is responsible for coordinating the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of Carefor’s quality and performance management activities. With direction from the Director, Quality and Performance, the Quality & Performance Analyst manages Carefor’s operational planning processes and associated performance framework, including the selection of Key Performance Indicators, data collection, data analysis and reporting.

The Quality & Performance Analyst engages and supports staff and programs within a multi-site/multi-user organization in the development, collection, monitoring and reporting of quality improvement initiatives, including the articulation of project charters, work plans and monitoring of achievements. The Quality & Performance Analyst works with interdepartmental teams to scope, implement and evaluate business/program changes and improvements.

What You Will Do:

As part of the Quality and Performance Team, you will work closely with the Director of Quality and Performance to ensure we enhance Carefor’s performance measurement framework and measure operational impact.

You use your exceptional attention to detail in coordinating and refining data collection processes while tracking performance measurement data, which includes the effective use of Carefor’s client and staff event reporting processes.

To support quality assurance, you will use performance measurement data to report on key performance indicators, quarterly and annually and will prepare reports for the board quality committee, Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees and other organizational program teams.

As an enthusiastic team member, you will consult with program leads and divisional teams to develop quality improvement plans, generate performance targets and data collection evaluation while also supporting the Director, Quality and Performance and other members of the senior leadership team as needed

You will prepare project charts and work plans, monitor timelines, project performance and lead system and program change products that will bring resolution with a targeted and timely plan.

 

What We Are Looking For:

As the ideal candidate, you will have a degree in a social science, health planning/administration and/or relevant education and experience. You will bring with you your knowledge and at least 3 years of experience with quality improvement methodologies and Lean principles along with your experience in project management, planning and efficient coordination in multi-site related projects. You are an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) with certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

You will be comfortable with computer software and technology, and utilizing tools to automate the tasks you need to complete.  (e.g., MS Office, Lucid Chart; project management software an asset) 

You have strong communications skills both orally and written with the ability to be clear and concise.  If you have the ability to work in both official languages, that would be a strong asset.  We value your skills in evaluation and performance measurement, preparing and communicating information to stakeholders and your understanding of adult learning principles.

What Success Looks Like:

  • You have developed and ensured effective data collection processes are in place to support operational performance metrics.
  • You have designed a project plan and developed education tools to support the successful implementation of a new organization wide event reporting system.
  • You have developed meaningful reports to be used by program teams and senior leaders to identify areas for improvement.
  • You have guided program teams in implementing quality improvement methodologies.
  • You have administered a staff engagement tool and developed meaningful reports to guide identification of quality improvement priorities.
  • You have reviewed current approaches to gather client experience data and worked with key stakeholders to implement innovative mechanisms to solicit and use information to improve client experience.
  • You have developed a project plan and successfully supported senior leaders and program teams through the accreditation process.
