Job Summary:

Carefor Health & Community Service is a not-for-profit registered charity that provides a variety of home health care and community support services to clients and caregivers across the Champlain region.

Carefor’s core programs and services in the Eastern Counties include community support services, respite programs, palliative care, and end of life care at Hospice Cornwall. We also offer befriending programs, caregiver support, Diners' Clubs, elder abuse prevention programs, in-home exercise programs, and transportation programs.

We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor, reporting to the Director, Human Resources and working collaboratively with the Director, Operations and Programs.

As Human Resources Advisor, you will provide guidance and advice in areas such as employee and labour relations, job evaluation, attendance management, performance management, recruitment and selection and team effectiveness. You will proactively work with clients to promote and implement best practices in human resources management.

As an ideal candidate, you are energetic, positive, and excel at finding solutions to complex issues. You have excellent organizational skills and are comfortable managing multiple priorities.

This position will suit a candidate that has completed a degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration with three or more years of related experience, preferably in a unionized environment. Experience in a health care or community care setting would be an asset.
